Investigation Log

Current status and progress. Every update is an output of the system meeting defined standards — not opinion, not speculation, not marketing.

About These Updates

Updates on this page document real progress — what was built, what it produced, what comes next. They are not promotional. They are field reports from an active investigation infrastructure.

Where findings are referenced, they meet the same confidence standards that govern all publications from this initiative. No update contains claims that have not passed the defined threshold. The methodology is the accountability structure.

Public Funding Campaign Launched

The crowdfunding campaign for OpenEpsteinFiles.ai is live. The initial goal of $10,000 funds infrastructure build, the first analysis sprint, and legal structure formation — the minimum viable proof that this system works.

This is not the full cost of the investigation. The archive is not static, and a multi-year analysis effort will require sustained funding. But $10,000 is the ignition. It proves the project is real and produces the first tangible outputs: infrastructure deployed, documents ingested, initial entity extraction running.

Fund allocation will be reported publicly on this page as the project progresses. Every dollar received and every dollar spent will be disclosed.

System Architecture Finalized — Seven Layers Specified

The complete architecture for the OpenEpsteinFiles.ai analysis engine has been designed and specified. Seven processing layers — from evidence ingestion through legal framework mapping to reviewed publication — have been defined with full methodological detail at three tiers of depth.

Every layer specifies what it does, how it does it, and why it matters. The design decisions that govern the system — how entities are disambiguated, how confidence is scored, how legal thresholds are mapped — are documented and published before a single line of production code is written.

The full system specification is available on The System page. It represents the analytical blueprint that development will implement. The architecture is open for public scrutiny.

What Your Support Makes Possible

This is a multi-year project. The archive is not static — new documents are released continuously through ongoing litigation, and a credible investigation will itself trigger further releases requiring retroactive analysis. Doing this fully may cost millions considering the volume of work and the cost of AI. We are starting small — as any serious initiative would — to prove the system works, then raise more.

It funds the infrastructure build — ingestion pipelines, OCR reconciliation, entity extraction. It pays for the first analysis sprint across the highest-priority document sets. And it establishes the legal structure that governs how findings are reviewed, verified, and published.

If the goal is not reached, contributions are returned. No ambiguity.
